Private Sky Aviation was called into asses an existing airstrip 220 KM North of Yellowknife. This abandoned gold mine just completed a remediation program and now has a new owner looking to take advantage of the current infrastructure to re-start mining operations. The PSA team flew into site with light specialized equipment and made the appropriate fixes to the aerodrome to facilitate a large sized aircraft which would fly in a full size grader to allow frequent C130 Hercules and other large aircraft flights. The job was a success and came in under budget and under the quoted timeframe.
